Television Premier Sankarabharanam on Zee Telugu

Remakes of movies in different languages are not new to Indian cinema. You can find innumerable instances of Hindi film stories used for producing remakes in languages such as Tamil, Telugu, etc. The vice-versa holds true too. The 2015 Telugu movie, Saankarabharanam, is one such remake from a 2010 Hindi film, Phas Gaye Re Obama.

Saankarabharanam is a Telugu crime cum comedy film. The film marks the directional debut of Uday Nandanavanam. Kona Venkat, a noted Telugu story writer has written this story. The film stars Nikhil Siddharth, Nanditha Raj, and Anjali in the lead roles. Sanjay Mishra and Sampath Raj constitute the villain as well as comedy angle.

The story revolves around an NRI, Gautam played by Nikhil. Gautam is residing in America along with his family. His financial status is almost that of bankruptcy. At that time, his mother, tells him about their ancestral property, the Saankarabharanam Palace in their village in Bihar, India. She advises him to dispose the palace and recover from the bankruptcy position. He comes to India. As soon as he lands in India, some kidnappers kidnap him. The scenes that follow are absolute comical as multiple kidnappers emerge out of nowhere and the hostages kept on changing hands from one group to the other. In the end, everything ends well as it usually does in all Indian films.

Zee Telugu TV has bought the telecasting rights of this film. They plan to telecast the worldwide premiere of the movie on June 19, 2016. The American television satellite systems do not beam Telugu TV Channels in their network. Hence, Indians in the USA would have to watch Zee Telugu online.

The American Indians can watch the movie online on the day of its premiere by subscribing to Telugu TV packages online.
